We are looking for a fantastic Director of Banquets for the spectacular south of Florida. The Director of Banquets is directly responsible for the planning, preparation, set-up, service, break-down, and cleanup of all events. This position provides supervision, leadership, and direction to Banquet staff in front and back of the house. Responsible for ensuring that events are executed smoothly and per guest specifications. Also, responsible for the management of all functions within the Banquets Office as well as overseeing all financial aspects to ensure employee and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with clients to plan and coordinate events, ensuring their vision is realized.
- Managing budgets for events, including staffing, food, and equipment costs.
- Overseeing the setup and breakdown of events, including seating arrangements, decorations, and audio-visual needs.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
The Ideal Candidate:
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.
- 3+ years of Banquet Director experience.
- Alcohol Awareness Training is preferred and Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
- Food handling certification.
- Knowledge of various food service styles
