Catering and Conference Service Manager at a luxury Miami hotel!

Catering and Conference Service Manager – $70,000 base + commissions 

Job Description –
 

1.      Catering and Conference Services Manager will service both social events (including weddings) as well as corporate groups.

2.      Play an active role in event planning, site inspections, Food and beverage selections and overall event negotiations.

3.      Accurately produce catering contracts for social events and weddings; servicing the event from start to finish.


Responsibilities include:

1.      Generating department revenue by answering new leads via phone or email and setting appointments for tours in the wedding, and social business markets.

2.      Will obtain group assignments from the Sales team during peak corporate/conference months; servicing the program from start to finish.

3.      Execute and oversee the administration of the following: Sales, Contracts, Finances, Banquet Event Orders, Banquet Checks, and all additional event details.

4.      Create Banquet Event Orders, Resumes, and Site Alerts proficiently and in a timely manner.

5.      Responsible for communication between departments to ensure we exceed our client’s expectations.
 


Systems used and required knowledge of:

1.      Opera and Delphi


Qualifications:
 

1.      3-5 years of experience in catering or events. Luxury Hospitality Preferred.

2.      Complete knowledge of meeting spaces, capacities and specifications, menus, budgets, and minimums.

3.      Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

4.      Service focused personality with strong selling skills.
